Mr. Vegas and Red RatDancehall star, Mr. Vegas is used to sparring on social media with many of his compatriots, but this past weekend, he was involved in a bit of on-stage drama after an incident with fellow veteran deejay, Red Rat during the Irie Jam Festival on Sunday.

It started when Red Rat, who reportedly wasn’t on the bill for the show, was performing some of his classics to the approval of a packed crowd at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York. While performing his set, Mr. Vegas came on stage to collect the microphone from Red Rat. but he refused, giving Vegas a deathly stare before bringing on one of his proteges.

After Red Rat’s artist performed and they went off stage, an annoyed Vegas took the mic and said, “Red Rat you ah gwaan like seh a nuh music you come to do…You ah gwaan like seh you come for war.”

Red Rat has not publicly addressed the incident. However, Vegas took to YouTube to speak his mind on the matter, saying that organizers were worried about the time for the show and that Red Rat was performing in his time slot. He also suggested Red Rat is ‘desperate’ to get back into the spotlight and has not lived up to expectations as an artist.

Additionally, he claimed in the video that Red Rat laid an insult in his direction regarding his mother, who died last year.

Vegas is no stranger to feuding with fellow entertainers, having had spats with Sean Paul, I-Octane andBounty Killer in the past.

Rumours have surfaced that the crux of this issue is over a girl. However, neither artist has addressed that claim.
