The day of reckoning has finally arrived for Clifford Harris. T.I. was sentenced by a Northern Georgia District judge to one year and one day in prison on felony weapons charges stemming from the now infamous incident back on October 13, 2007 where the rapper was arrested only hours before taking the stage at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, GA.
The Judge said that T.I.’s plea deal was a success and hoped that the community service – which included speaking to youth about maintaining a positive lifestyle – would inspire similar plea deals.
Harris’ plea deal included the 1,000 hours of community service before he entered prison, another 500 after he finishes his sentence and paying a $100,000 fine.
T.I. is scheduled to voluntarily report to prison in the next four to six weeks. However, due to previously agreed-upon commitments, he will not enter prison before May 19
