Thousands lined up to witness Beenie Man and Bounty Killer perform live on the same stage.  The entrance of the Roseland Ballroom was utter pandemonium, as fans lined up for what seemed to be hours to gain access into the ultra chic venue to view what has been termed “History in The Making”.

Male and female fans alike were “dressed to impress” as they anxiously gathered to witness the Doctor, Beenie Man and the Warlord, Bounty Killer perform live on the same stage for the first time in New York City. Both performers have had a 17 year rivalry which began in 1992 and though they have performed with other artists on shows in Jamaica and around the world, they have never performed on the same stage in which they were the only featured acts.

Media outlets such as MTV, Tempo, LinkUp Media, The West Indian News, Playback TV, Forever Reggae TV, Time Warner, Tropical Fete, Trinifly Promotions among others, were on hand to capture the event.  Celebrities such as Reggae Artist Elephant Man, Shaggy, Ras Penco, Troublesum, Elly Ess, Supah Shane and Keyshia Cole’s manager, Manny Halley were also in the building.

After Bounty’s energetic performance, the Doctor, Beenie Man was ushered to the stage by a bevy of beautiful ladies.  Dressed in a black suit with a red, black and white polka dot shirt, the King of the Dancehall greeted his fans before performing his hits.  Beenie professed his love for the ladies and followed-up with a little “show and tell” in which he described his loving making tips and tricks.  This, of course, sent the ladies wild while the men gave nods of approval.

The performances, which were backed by the Ruff Stuff band, ended peacefully and fans left feeling as though they got their money’s worth.

The event was produced by New York City’s leading event promoters, Upscale Crowd.  A subsidiary of Upscale Crowd Marketing Group LLC, the company has produced weekly parties, special events, networking events and concerts for the past five years.  Upscale Crowd promised that the event would be memorable and that it was.
