SIZZLA KALONJI TO OPEN USA TOUR IN SOUTH FLORIDA, JUNE 10
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. May 29, 2017 — June is Caribbean Heritage Month (CHM), and what better way to kick off the celebration than with an ensemble of the most talented and conscious reggae artistes from the USA and various parts of the Caribbean region, on one stage.

Lovers of the sizzling hot and spicy Caribbean popular culture, will get an opportunity to celebrate this unique packaging at a concert event in Lauderhill, Florida, in a matter of days.

The concert and celebration is the first leg of a promotional tour this summer for the highly anticipated compilation album “LIFE OF A GHETTO YOUTH”, featuring Sizzla, Ras Shiloh, Marlon Asher, Pressure and Izac King.

Available now for pre-orders only, the compilation album, ”LIFE OF A GHETTO YOUTH”, will be officially released on itunes on July 7, and already industry-insiders say music lovers are in for a treat as each entertainer tells a powerful story of life on the mean streets of their respective ‘hood.

From Kingston and St. Andrew to Port of Spain to Brooklyn and the Virgin Islands, the commentary is socially and culturally powerful, making for a concert event that will be worth the while going miles to see.

The promotional tour which is being headlined by the multiple award winning Sizzla Kalonji, kicks off on Saturday, June 10, at the stadium at the Central Broward Regional Park, 3700 NW 11 Place, (NE Corner, State Road 7 & Sunrise Blvd), Lauderhill, Florida. Showtime is 4:00 pm.

The producer of the show VAS Productions Ricardo “Trini” Vasconcellos, (VAS Productions), says the violence in his homeland is his inspiration for this album tour. He along with Marlon Asher and Izac King are from the same area of Enterprise in Central Trinidad. Event co-producers Trevor “Baby G’ James and Vychalle Singh, are also among the producers who worked on the “LIFE OF A GHETTO YOUTH” album project.

SIZZLA KALONJI-Miguel Orlando Collins is a Jamaican contemporary reggae musician, known for his high number of releases, with such hits as Black Woman and Child, Thank You Mamma, Holding Firm and the anthemic “Praise Ye Jah” among other chart-topping tunes.

RAS SHILOH- (Thomas Williams), from Brooklyn NY, known for his sultry voice which is often compared to the legendary Garnett Silk, known for such hits as “Are You Satisfied”, and “Child of a Slave”.

MARLON ASHER – is a Trinidadian reggae singer from Enterprise, known for his monster hit “Ganja Farmer”.

PRESSURE- Delyno Brown is a reggae artist from St Thomas and the Virgin Islands, with a number of hits to his credit, including “Love and Affection” and “Bless My Soul”.

IZAC KING is an up and coming reggae ‘superstar’ from Trinidad with a unique voice and style that shows his range and versatility as an artist, and lists Marlon Asher among his mentors.

With South Florida fans set to get first take, production spokesperson Sean Young, is promising an evening of reggae and culture, not seen this side of the Caribbean for quite some time

“With so much talent in one place, fans coming out to the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium, can expect one of the most prolific evenings in reggae music. That’s a promise”, he said.
