Award-winning EDM group, Major Lazer will be back in Jamaica to host their fifth annual Major Lazer & Friends show at Mas Camp in New Kingston on December 16.

The dancehall-inspired trio, known for hit collaborations with the likes of Busy Signal (Bumaye), Tarrus Riley (Powerful), Vybz Kartel (Pon De Floor) and Mystic Davis (Bubble Butt) will feature special surprise performances at the show. In previous editions, acclaimed musicians such as Skrillex, DJ Snake, Martin Garrix, Rudimental, Sean Paul and Machel Montano have performed at the show.

Early bird tickets for Major Lazer & Friends will go on sale for $JA3000 at Ribbiz this Friday.

The annual showcase comes on the heels of another highly successful 2016 for Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire – the trio that make up Major Lazer – as their single, Lean On from their 2015 album, Peace Is The Mission was solidified as the most successful independently released song of all time this year. The official video for Lean On has to date been viewed an astonishing 1.74 billion times on YouTube to date.

This past March, they became the first American pop act to perform in Cuba since the reinstatement of relations between the two countries. Over 400,000 people showed up to that event.

Major Lazer has previously collaborated with major international acts such as Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and more.
