With his first release for 2017, DeeWunn collaborates with Full Chaarge Records for his new record “Life Still A Keep”. Featured on the “Nympho Riddim” compilation, the riddim itself features dancehall’s top artists Shenseea, Devin Di Dakta and Razor B, to name a few. “Life Still A Keep” is a bouncy anthem-like track, detailing his humbleness towards his accomplishments and migration to Canada.
“Life still a keep is about no matter how hard life gets, no matter what people say or think about you, just stay focussed and keep moving.” says DeeWunn. “Working with ZJ Dymond (Owner of Full Chaarge Records.) has been a great experience and we have a lot more “banggaz” in the works…”
2016 was a successful year for the Jamaican emcee, the Jamaican rapper reached new heights with his debut album “Bunx Up”. With his Europe tour rescheduled for July, DeeWunn plans to release some new “banggaz” both produced by his label “Hybrid Culture” and a series of other great Canadian, European and Jamaican producers. The artist has also recently filmed a music video for his upcoming single “Ribbibunx”.
“After releasing a little snippet on Instagram last month, my fans really took to it! It was so well received that radio personalities were already downloading the audio from the Instagram / YouTube video to play on their radio show!” DeeWunn says while speaking about “Ribbibunx”.
The “Ribbibunx” demo was originally recorded at GeeJam Studios in Jamaica and was rerecorded in Toronto, Canada. The single and video are both expected to release this summer.
