Reggae stalwart, Etana as well as Billboard chart-topping sensation, OMI were two of the biggest winners at the 2015 International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), held last week in Florida.
Etana, who topped the Billboard Reggae Charts with her latest studio album, I Rise, took home three awards, including Song of the Year for I Rise, Best Female Vocalist and the Marcus Garvey Humanitarian Award.
OMI, who topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for several weeks with the remix of his hit single, Cheerleader, took home two honours, including Best Crossover Song (for Cheerleader) and Most Promising Entertainer.
Other notable winners on the night included Reggae star, Chronixx, who took home the award for Entertainer of the Year while Tarrus Riley, who recently debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, won a pair of honours, including Best Male Vocalist and Most Cultural/Educational Entertainer.
International acclaimed band, Third World won the award for Best Caribbean Entertainer while Stephen Marley took home the Music Video of the Year honour for Rockstone, featuring Sizzla and Capleton.
Dexta Daps won the Best Newcomer award while Conjugal Visit singer, Spice was named the Best Female DJ/Rapper.
