Regulaz is pleased to announce the release of their new single “Show Me,” via Tropical Paradise Records (TPR), available on all digital partners, on February 23, 2018.
“We are in high anticipation of our new single Show Me. This Dancehall/Soca veign we’re on right now is a little closer to home for us; and so, we believe this track will create the buzz we expect it to, from our Regulaz family and our fans around the world,” says Regulaz’ rapper, Ishmael “Sween” Haynes. “The song is dope. The track is just as madd; so yeah, we’re eager for this new release.”
Show Me is very close to the heart of Regulaz and TPR, as its enchanting mix of steel pan drums and other instruments used in the beat itself, pays rhythmic homage to that of Trinidad and Tobago, Miami, and the Caribbean culture. It was specifically conceived and written with Morvant, Laventille in mind. “Show Me does not only explain where we come from, but it can also be relatively understood by many who come from the same place,” says Regulaz’ rapper, Kerdell “Nessy” Phillips. “I’m anxious for this song, mainly for the response of the people.”
Show Me, which does not disappoint, follows directly behind Regulaz’ two previous releases, their 2018 Paradise Heights album re-release, and their 2017 single, Body Nice feat. Denice Millien, which was a huge success. “The track is a blend of EDM and Pop, with an island twist,” says Miami’s own (by way of Mississippi) Clockwork Studios Producer, Aaron “AV” Verrett, who is also very excited for Show Me’s release.” It gave me that Beenie Man featuring Mya, “Girls Dem Sugar” Neptune type of vibe, as soon as the instrumental play in the studio,” says Regulaz’ lead singer, Jason “Duk J” Dick. “I know our fans will love this one. REF-for-Life.”
AV’s interpretation of the pulse that throbs in the veins of all when it comes to Caribbean music, along with Regulaz’ poignant, cool carefree vocals woven throughout Show Me, is a match made in Dancehall/Soca heaven. “It’s about time we start putting our Caribbean flavor in our music,” says Nessy; “and we did just that. God bless and enjoy.”
