No matter the time of day, the day of the week, the month of the year; it is always a good time to “Praise Jah.” As a matter of fact, the more the praises go up, is the more the blessings come down, so Sizzla opens the gateway for blessings with his song “Praise Jah” from his new album, ‘Acoustic Sounds’ which I believe is album #79
Keeping his ear to the street and paying attention to what fans are saying, Sizzla returns to his original sound on every track on this album. The gritty ‘voice of the people’ who expertly connects the intersection of riddim and lyrics delivers every fans joy.
Singing from the heart, the sing-jay says: “to Jah be the glory / we won’t be overcome by their wickedness / trust in Rastafari and he’ll protect / tell them with Jah love everything is blessed / doing Rastafari works there’s no regrets / let us all / Praise Jah / each and everyone / Praise Jah / the whole wide world / Praise Jah / the boys and girls / Praise Jah.…” To be honest, this is more of a Psalms in song which will bring joy and gladness to every heart!
Musically, the synthesized organ gives a riff that fits like a glove to the subtle bass line and the lead organ that offers a complimentary melody to Sizzla’s lead. Just trust me when I say, you are going to LOVE this chune, but only if Reggae is your beat, and only if you want to “Praise Jah.”
Of this chune Sizzla says “Let all ye voices be heard as we offer praise to Jah for seeing us through to another blessed day!”
