Toronto’s record label, Diet Monkey Entertainment, makes their production debut with their new Afro Vibes Compilation, Volume 1 album. With songs that feature on the Diet Monkey Riddim, the songs perfectly merges elements from Afrobeat and dancehall music, giving us a very Caribbean feel good vibe. The project showcases talented uprising acts from both Canada and Jamaica such as Slimflex, Cee Gee, D Will, Fire Lion, Asham (Gyal Idiot), Pink Boss and Nana Ice.
The lead single “Whine for me” by the label’s artist “Slimflex” made its radio premiere this past Monday on Toronto’s Vibe105 with Carrie Mullings, the full project releasing today on iTunes, Spotify and all major digital music outlets.
In coordination with Canadian Music Week’s “I Love Afrovibe” showcase, Slimflex alongside Diet Monkey will be releasing the project’s first music video on Thursday April 20th, 2017.
The video will be premiered on the Caribbeans premiere entertainment site, The Tropixs.
