Controversial dancehall artistes Patrick and Paul Gaynor, popularly known as Twins of Twins, were freed of fraud charges on Thursday morning when they appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court. The two brothers were charged several weeks ago for allegedly defrauding a fellow artiste of more than $50,000.Allegations are that the complainant paid the brothers the money to assist with the application for a visa.He went to the police to report that he could not make contact with the dancehall duo. However defence attorney Christopher Townsend told the court on Thursday morning that the entire matter was a grave misunderstanding. He said his clients were on tour in the United States and Europe when the complainant was trying to make contact with them. Mr. Townsend said because the report was made to the police while the brothers were away, the police had to take action.
