Imprisoned dancehall megastar, Vybz Kartel, has been hospitalised for a kidney infection.
News of his admittance to hospital was confirmed by his lawyer, Tom Tavares-Finson. The deejay, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, initially had been complaining of pains since last Wednesday and, after becoming ill on Sunday, was admitted to the University Hospital of the West Indies.
The dancehall star is still receiving treatment at UWHI and no further word has been given on his condition.
Kartel is currently serving life in prison for the 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
