Releasing today, Auresia’s On The Road Again is the first single from her upcoming album Raices meaning “roots” in Spanish. Following the diversity and authenticity of her new album, the rhythm and beat of the song was created by live instruments from different corners of the world, including Cuba and Auresia’s native Ukraine, her lyrics share with us personal experience and feelings that she has encountered while on the road.

“I found the song during a nighttime jam by the fire on the beach on a cross-Canada tour on Hornby Island,” reveals Auresia.

“After traveling and touring for the past several years, I have been to many places and many people from all different cultures and languages have been so lovely in welcoming me into their communities — I just had to put that into a song.”

About Raices

Auresia trades in the simple fun of her first two records for a more refined sound and delivers a raw, truthful interpretation of everyday life and the realities of being a strong woman. The one thing that hasn’t changed, however, is her deep-rooted passion for Reggae and Latin music. Although most of her lyrics are sung in English, she masterfully weaves in Spanish phrases, as well as words in Lakota, the native tongue of the people of the Sioux tribes.

Fully comprised of organic instrumentation, the album impressively blends roots reggae and Afro-Cuban rhythms with folk-pop lyrics and melodies sung by Auresia’s sweet-as-honey voice.

Dropping November 25th, 2016, ‘Raices’ is a musical love letter that traces us back to our roots.
